India picks out Iran dir. 2 short films

Two Iranian short films made by Zivar Hojjati are set to attend the Filmsaaz international festival in India.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Bullets of Baptism’ and ‘Feng Shui Upside Down’, both directed by Zivar Hojjati, will compete at the Indian festival.

 ‘Feng Shui Upside Down’ is also due to vie at the Global Impact Film Festival (GIDC), the United States in August.

“A mother’s parenting style leads to contradictory results,” a synopsis for the film reads.

Filmsaaz is organized by the University Film Club of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).    

It is “one of the largest multi-disciplinary art and cultural festivals in India dedicated to the exhibition of short films, documentaries, music, art and cultural advocacy programs”, the event’s website reads.
